OFFICIAL RULES

NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING.

ELIGIBILITY: The SHEIN DREAM PROM Contest (“Contest”) is open to legal residents of the United States who are 16 years of age or older and are enrolled in a high school or home school association at the high-school level during the 2024-2025 school year. Employees and directors of SHEIN Distribution Corporation (“Sponsor”), Real and Diverse Casting, or any of their parents, subsidiaries and affiliates, advertising, promotion, or production agencies (and their respective immediate family members and individuals residing in their same household)(collectively, the “Contest Entities”) are not eligible to participate. Void where prohibited. All applicable federal, state, and local laws apply.

CONTEST PERIOD: The Contest begins on 02/20/2025 at 06:00:01 p.m. Pacific Time (“PT”) and ends on 02/26/2025 at 11:59:59 p.m. PT (the “Contest Period”).

HOW TO ENTER: You may enter the Contest by submitting an application) and any other required items on the Contest platform located at http://www.sheindreamprom.com/shein-dream-prom-registration. Please follow the on-screen instructions to complete the application, include links to your social media profiles, which must be public, and submit the application for entry into the Contest.

You must have at least one social media account (i.e., Instagram or TikTok) to participate and your account must be public. Accounts are free. There is a limit one (1) entry per person who participates in the Contest (“entrant”). Proof of submission is not proof of receipt. Sponsor's database computer is the official time-keeping device for the Contest. Entries will not be acknowledged or returned.

Any entrant who is a minor must notify his/her parent/guardian and have the consent of his or her parent/guardian. If an entrant is between the ages of 16-17 years old, or otherwise considered a minor in the jurisdiction of the entrant's residence, the entrant will be required to enter his or her parent or legal guardian’s first name, last name and phone number in addition to the entrant's own name. A parent/guardian’s consent is required before a prize package can be awarded. 

WARRANTIES AND PERMISSIONS: By entering this Contest, you warrant and represent that the entrant is at least 16 years old and, if a minor, has obtained permission from a parent or legal guardian to participate.

PUBLICITY RIGHTS: Except where prohibited by law, participation in the Contest and/or receipt or use of any prize further constitutes the winner’s consent for use of his/her name, photograph, likeness, voice, opinions, statements, biographical information, and/or hometown and state for promotional or advertising purposes in any media, worldwide, now known or hereafter developed, in perpetuity, without further review, notification, payment, or consideration.

JUDGING/WINNER SELECTION: On or about February 27, 2025, all eligible entries will be evaluated by a panel of judges using the following criteria: creativity and originality, content of entrant’s social media account(s), and the compelling quality of entrant’s story, to select five (5)potential winners. Judges' decisions are final and binding.

WINNER NOTIFICATION: Potential winners will be notified on or about 02/28/2025 using the contact information provided at the time of entry. No liability is assumed for any winner notification that is lost, intercepted, or not received by a potential winner for any reason. Failure to respond to any winner notification within two (2) days may result in disqualification and selection of an alternate winner. The potential winner will be required to execute an Affidavit of Eligibility, a Liability Release, and a Publicity Release (where legal) (“Prize Claim Documents”). If any potential eligible winner is not of legal age of majority in his or her place of residence, at Sponsor’s option, the prize either may be awarded in the name of parent or legal guardian of winner, or parent or legal guardian of winner may be required to ratify and sign all Prize Claim Documents. If a potential winner fails to comply with Sponsor’s requests for Prize Claim Documents, is found to be ineligible, is not able to attend and participate in the Event (as defined below) or cannot or does not comply with these Official Rules, he/she will be disqualified, and prize may be awarded to an alternate winner.

PRIZES/ARV: Five (5) prize packages are available. Each prize package consists of:

1. A full prom wardrobe, including a prom dress, and accessories, including jewelry, shoes, bag (ARV: up to $1,000)

2. Professional hair and makeup (ARV: up to $1,000)

3. VIP Prom Experience, including a limo ride to and from the winner’s 2025 high school prom, dinner, and spending money for winner and friends (ARV: up to $3,000)

4. Professional photos and videography for the winner’s 2025 high school prom (ARV: up to $2,500)

5. A trip for two (2) persons to Los Angeles, California on such dates at Sponsor’s discretion during the period from 03/06/2025 to 03/23/2025 to coincide with the filming of SHEIN Live and/or SHEIN’s Dream Prom Makeover Series currently estimated to take place from 03/06/2025 through 03/23/2025 (collectively called the “Event”).

The trip component of the prize consists of: (a) round trip airline transportation (coach class) for winner and one (1) guest (who shall be winner’s guardian or parent) between major U.S. airport nearest winner’s residence and Los Angeles, CA and (b) accommodations at a hotel selected by Sponsor in Los Angeles, CA (consisting of one (1) double-occupancy, standard room) for 3 days and 2 nights (ARV: up to 2,500).

Total ARV of each prize package: up to $10,000; actual value may vary depending upon departure city. Any difference between estimated value and actual value will not be awarded.

All transportation, lodging, meals, and other costs and expenses not otherwise identified herein are the responsibility of the winner. Ground transportation may be substituted for air transportation at Sponsor’s sole discretion if air travel is not required due to winner’s proximity to Los Angeles, CA. Major credit card will be required at check-in to cover any incidental expenses. Winner and travel companion must travel on the same itinerary and must be able to travel on the dates specified above. Potential winner and travel companion will be required to sign any Prize Claim Documents prior to ticketing. Any person taking part in the trip who is a minor under the laws of his/her state of residence must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian who also must execute all documents on behalf of the minor. Winner and travel companion must have all ID and other documents necessary for travel, including but not limited to any required vaccination or proof of negative COVID-19 testing. Stay and travel must be completed to coincide with the Event. If winner cannot travel on specified dates, an alternate winner may be selected. Dates are subject to change. No responsibility is assumed for cancellation or postponement of Event or any other events beyond Sponsor’s control. If Event is cancelled or postponed after travel arrangements are made, remainder of trip will be awarded as the complete prize. Prize is non-transferable and no cash equivalent or substitution of the prize is offered, except at the sole discretion of the Sponsor. Sponsor may substitute a prize of comparable value if advertised prize becomes unavailable. Each winner is responsible for all federal, state and/or local taxes, and for any other fees or costs associated with acceptance or use of any prize.

Prize Conditions: Sponsor may conduct a background check to confirm eligibility and compliance with these rules. By entering, you agree to cooperate reasonably with any such background check. Failure to cooperate may result in disqualification and selection of an alternate winner. If a potential winner or potential guest has engaged in or does engage in any conduct that could damage the reputation or business of Sponsor, as determined by Sponsor in its discretion, the potential winner may be disqualified and the prize may be awarded to an alternate winner, time permitting. Each potential winner and potential guest must also comply with all requirements for proper and appropriate behavior during any prize-related activities or events, including but not limited to the Event. Any inappropriate behavior, as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion, may result in removal from any activity or event.

Winner and winner’s guardian/parent must be available to travel to Los Angeles, CA and attend and participate at the Event to be able to be able to receive the prize package.

ADDITIONAL RULES: Acceptance of a prize constitutes each winner’s permission for Sponsor to use winner’s name, photograph, likeness, voice, biographical information, statements and address (city and state), and social media posts for advertising and/or publicity purposes worldwide and in all forms of media now known or hereafter developed, in perpetuity, without further compensation except where prohibited by law. By participating, you (i) agree to be bound by these Official Rules, including all eligibility requirements, and (ii) agree to be bound by the decisions of the judges, which are final and binding in all matters relating to the Contest. Failure to comply with these Official Rules may result in disqualification from the Contest. Entry materials/data that have been tampered with or altered are void. No responsibility is assumed for: (i) lost, late, misdirected, damaged, garbled, incomplete or illegible entries, all of which are void; (ii) error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operations or transmission, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to or alterations of entry materials, or for technical, network, telephone equipment, electronic, mobile device, computer, hardware or software malfunctions of any kind, or inaccurate transmission of or failure to receive entry information by Sponsor on account of technical problems; or (iii) any injury or damage to entrant's or any other person's mobile device related to or resulting from participating in the Contest. Sponsor reserves the right to: (i) permanently disqualify from any promotion it sponsors any person it believes has intentionally violated these Official Rules; and (ii) suspend, modify or terminate the Contest if Sponsor believes, in its sole discretion, that malfunction, error, disruption or damage is impairing or will impair the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Contest. Any individual who is found to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Contest, to be acting in violation of these Official Rules, or to be acting in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner, or with the intent to disrupt or undermine the legitimate operation of the Contest, or to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person, may be disqualified, and Sponsor reserves the right to seek damages and other remedies from any such person to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Only the type and quantity of prizes described in these Official Rules will be awarded. If, for any reason, more bona fide winners come forward seeking to claim prizes in excess of the number of each type of prize set forth in these Official Rules, the winners, or remaining winners, as the case may be, of the advertised number of prizes available in the prize category in question may be selected in a random drawing from among all persons making purportedly valid claims for such prize(s). Inclusion in such drawing shall be each entrant’s sole and exclusive remedy in such circumstances.

Sponsor reserves the right to modify, extend, suspend, or terminate the Contest, in whole or in part, if it determines, in its sole discretion, that the Contest is technically impaired or corrupted or that fraud or technical problems, failures or malfunctions or other unintended circumstances have impaired the integrity, administration, security, proper play and/or feasibility of the Contestas contemplated herein.

RELEASE OF LIABILITY: You agree that the Contest Entities (a) shall not be responsible or liable for, and are hereby released from, any and all costs, injuries, losses or damages of any kind, including, without limitation, death and bodily injury, due in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, to participation in the Contest or any Contest-related activity, or from acceptance, receipt, possession and/or use or misuse of any prize, including attendance and participation at the Event, and (b) have not made any warranty, representation or guarantee, express or implied, in fact or in law, with respect to any prize, including, without limitation, to such prize’s quality or fitness for a particular purpose.

By entering the Contest, you further agree that (a) any and all disputes, claims, and causes of action arising out of or in connection with the Contest, or any prize awarded, including attendance and participation at the Event, shall be resolved individually without resort to any form of class action; (b) any claims, judgments and awards shall be limited to reasonable and actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, including costs associated with entering the Contest, but in no event attorney's fees; and (c) under no circumstances will you be permitted to obtain any award for, and you hereby waive all rights to claim, punitive, incidental, indirect or consequential damages and any and all rights to have damages multiplied or otherwise increased and any other damages, other than damages for reasonable and actual out-of-pocket expenses. These rules and any disputes relating hereto are governed by the internal laws of the State of California without regard to principles of conflicts of laws, and by entering, you consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts in California for resolution of any disputes relating to the Contest and waive any objection thereto. For New Jersey residents, the limitations set forth above are inapplicable where attorneys’ fees, court costs, or other damages are mandated by statute.

ADDITIONAL: No responsibility is assumed for any damage to your mobile device or computer system, which is occasioned by participating in the Contest, or for any computer system, mobile device, hardware, software or program malfunctions, or other errors, failures, or delays. Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, no responsibility is assumed for incomplete, illegible, misdirected, misprinted, forged, tampered with, altered, late, lost, damaged, or stolen submissions, prize notifications or other Contest materials, all of which are void; or for lost, interrupted, inaccessible or unavailable networks, servers, satellites, Internet service providers, websites, or other connections; or for miscommunications, failed, jumbled, scrambled, delayed, or misdirected computer, telephone or cable transmissions; or for any technical malfunctions, failures, difficulties or other errors of any kind or nature; or for the incorrect or inaccurate capture of information, or the failure to capture any information.

Any individual who is found to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Contest, to be acting in violation of these Official Rules, or to be acting in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner, or with the intent to disrupt or undermine the legitimate operation of the Contest, or to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person, may be disqualified, and Sponsor reserves the right to seek damages and other remedies from any such person to the fullest extent permitted by law.

WINNERS NAMES: For a list of winners, send a written request to the Sponsor, via electronic mail to uscsteam@shein.com, with “SHEIN Dream Prom Contest” in the subject line. All such requests must be received by April 30, 2025.
